Ernst U Tschoepke

Ernst U Tschoepke, a Hong Kong citizen, who, before joining UNMIK in 2001 as Head of Legal Services in Pillar-IV, has worked as law draftsman in various African SADC member states and as commercial lawyer in South East Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
 
He is the principle drafter of most of Kosovo’s privatization legislation and has joined the UNMIK Office of Legal Affairs in 2003.
 
Since 2008 he is heading this Office, now largely engaged in UNMIK legal legacy issues and in providing the implementation in Kosovo of the legal construct for the UN’s status neutral stance on Kosovo's status.
