DPI Retreat - 17 to 19 May 2002

The Division of Public Information of UNMIK organized a Staff Retreat at the Hotel Molika in Brezovica from 17 to 19 May 2002. The retreat was a great success with the participation of all DPI staff, as well as representatives of EU (Pillar IV), OSCE (Pillar III), Civilian Police (Pillar II), KFOR and the local media. After two days of open discussions, debates, group studies and presentations, the participants were divided into four working groups on the following topics: benchmarks and institutions; crime and violence; economy; and minority/returns. After discussions and brain-storming sessions, each working group came up with a strategic plan for public information campaigns on those four key areas of the work of UNMIK.
