UNMIK Clarifies that SRSG Michael Steiner Did Not Discuss Decentralization with Mr. Nebojsa Covic

PRISTINA - In response to questions concerning the meeting today between the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Covic and the SRSG Michael Steiner, UNMIK would like to clarify that SRSG Michael Steiner did not discuss decentralization at the meeting. What he actually said was that he was, of course, ready to outline UNMIK's policy on decentralization at the next High-Ranking Working Group (HRWG) meeting.

He also was clear that the policy was not up for negotiation.
