SRSG Michael Steiner Signs Two Laws

PRISTINA – Today SRSG Michael Steiner signed two laws adopted by the Assembly of Kosovo ‘on the Establishment of an Immovable Rights Register’ and ‘on Mortgages’.

With these signatures, all draft laws presented by the Assembly as of yesterday, 19 December, to SRSG Michael Steiner have been reviewed and acted upon by him.

This means that of the six laws presented to the SRSG as of yesterday, four have been signed and promulgated and two have been returned by the SRSG to the Assembly of Kosovo for further consideration.

Speaking after signing the two laws, SRSG Michael Steiner said “My legislation in-tray has been cleared for Christmas”.
