UNMIK TO BEGIN CUSTOMS REGISTRATION

PRISTINA-Beginning Tuesday, 31 August, forwarding agents and importers/exporters in Kosovo should register with the UNMIK Customs Services of Kosovo.

Registration will go on from 8:00 to 15:00 hours weekdays, in the Customs House in Pristina.

There will also be a registration fee of 25 DEM.

Persons and companies who were previously registered to conduct import/export activities in Kosovo must submit written proof of this registration.

Any new or prospective forwarding agents or importers/exporters will be registered with UNMIK Customs Service upon presentation of the following items:

1. Identity Card
2. Written proof of the name and address of the company.
3. Name of the responsible person in the company
4. Satisfactory proof of competence

Original documents must be submitted to the UNMIK Customs Service. Copies will be retained by UNMIK Customs Service for their records. A charge of 0.5 DEM will be made for each photocopy to be made of original documents.
