UNMIK/PR/425 PRESS RELEASE - 22 November 2000 KTC Condemns Bomb Attack on FRY Official’s Residence PRISTINA---The Kosovo Transitional Council today issued the following statement condemning the bomb attack this morning: “The Kosovo Transitional Council is outraged at the criminal act perpetrated in Pristina in the morning of 22 November 2000 and, apparently, directed against an official of the Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY). “The representatives of the Kosovar people, gathered in the Kosovo Transitional Council, express their strongest condemnation of such act, regardless of the political motives that may have induced it. “The Kosovo Transitional Council calls on the people of Kosovo to reject violence, and to help the UNMIK authorities to identify the perpetrators of all criminal acts in Kosovo. “The Kosovo Transitional Council concludes that today’s criminal act, two days before an important international event for Kosovo and the Balkans region, particularly damages the process of pacification and democratization of the entire region. “The Kosovo Transitional Council rejects violence as means of pursuing
political goals. The Kosovo Transitional Council is committed to a
peaceful process of democratization in Kosovo.”
