UNMIK/PR/445 The Interim Administrative Council discusses economic regulations Pristina--The Interim Administrative Council today discussed three drafts of economic regulations on Foreign Investment, on Business Organization and on the Sale of Goods. The regulations, which were discussed in the previous IAC meeting, consist of a package of measures that will help in developing the private sector in Kosovo. The IAC members were also introduced of a draft regulation on pledges that will provide possibilities of commercial credit to the people of Kosovo. The Principal Deputy SRSG, Mr. Jock Covey who chaired the meeting today, introduced to the IAC members the idea of an amendment to regulation 2000/21 on the Central Election Commission. With this regulation, consultations between UNMIK, OSCE, political parties and civil society will be conducted in order to appoint new board members to prepare the general elections. The current members will be removed from office at the end of December. The members of the IAC also had further discussions on the Kosovo Consolidated Budget 2001.
