SRSG Michael Steiner returned from a one-day visit to Albania, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Economy Minister Ermelinda Meksi. Mr. Steiner also met with Foreign Minister Arta Dade, President Meidani, president elect Muisiu, PM Majko, as well as socialist party leader Fatos Nano.

Mr. Walter Schwimmer, secretary-general of the Council of Europe, expressed his strong support for the latest efforts of UNMIK to create a multi-ethnic justice system in Kosovo. At the moment, only four out of 337 local judges and prosecutors are Kosovo Serbs.
