31 August 2005-DokuFest Festival-By Andrea Saula 

The fourth international festival of documentaries and short films takes place in Prizren between 31st of August and September the 4th. 59 movies from 22 countries are going to be screened in the open-air cinema of Prizren.

While the KPS become more and more responsible for ownership of their Service, there is still much to learn from their international partners in UNMIK Police.   In a recent press conference, international police shared with us some of the major successes in their fight against crime.

29 August 2005-Macedonia Free Trade-By Birol Urcan

After more then a six months of negotiations between Kosovo and FYROM agreement has been reached and the free trade agreement has been signed. The agreement will liberalize trade between the two places. Although not yet approved by the Macedonian parliament, UNMIK and the PISG on the 3rd of August   have already started to implement this agreement which greatly effect the trade figures for the region.

Earlier this month Marc Auboin, the IMF Representative in Kosovo.predicted that Kosovo economy will grow in 2006, but also warned of a high budget deficit this year

24 August 2005-10th Anniversary of Operation Storm-By Zoran Culafic 

The first week of August marked the 10th anniversary of Operation Storm where Croatia celebrated the brilliant victory that liberated the country from the Serb rebellion in Krajina, while Serbia was mourning some 2.500 victims, mainly civilians, that disappeared during and after the “Storm”.

23 August 2005-Interview -The OSCE Secretary General-By Zoran Culafic 

Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, a senior French diplomat, has been appointed the new OSCE Secretary General. Ambassador de Brichambaut's appointment takes effect from June 21, 2005, he will serve for three years.

22 August 2005-Vehicle Import-By Birol Urcan

During the summer season Kosovo is usually visited by thousands of Kosovars who live and work abroad, many of them come using their own vehicles.
If they have an official resident permit from abroad they indeed have the right to use their vehicles with foreign license plates while being in Kosovo.
But there are some rules to be respected

18 August 2005-Astra Radio-By Zoran Culafic and Engin Begolli

Astra Radio is a local radio station located in Zupa Valley, at the point where borders of Kosovo meet with Albanian and Macedonia. The saying – far from eyes, far from heart - could be valid when talking about this Radio, as very few donors, not even to mention political circles, are interested to support the work of this multiethnic Radio.

17 August 2005-Devic Monastery-By Blagoje Grujic

Monastery Devic is one of 35 ortodox religious sites destroyed in riots in March last year. As a sign of good will, on 8 of August, military priests from KFOR, together with volunteers from different contingents, came to monastery to help the nuns of Devic monastery to clean up remaining debris.

16 August 2005-Sharr Cheese-By Birol Urcan

The cheese from Sara/Sharr Mountain is one of the unique Kosovo local products, however it is far from having a brand both at the local and international market. Nevertheless, local cheese producers believe that such a picture could be changed soon, claiming that they are ready to export the cheese to European countries.

15 August 2005-Return to Drsnik/Dresnik-By Andrea Saula

20 K-Serbs should move into their rebuilt houses in the village of Drsnik/Dresnik in the Municipality Klina by the end of September. Kosovo Protection Corps are helping this returns project
