We have the pleasure to inform you that we are working on a kids program called "kids from kosovo".

Bellow, you will find 5 examples of the program in Albanian. We also plan to produce additional in Serbian throughout Kosovo.

 Sa zadovoljstvom Vas obavestavamo da smo poceli da pripremamo decji program nazvan “Deca Kosova”.

Dole Vam saljemo 5 demo programa na albanskom jeziku. Namera nam je da proizvedemo I dodatne programe na srpskom jeziku sirom Kosova.

A joint project of the United Nations Development Program and Kosovo’s Ministry of Labor and Social welfare aims to employ around 1700 workers, both in the public and the private sector for a period of 6 months.

When considering provisional release of an accused, the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia takes into account whether the individual involved surrendered voluntarily and how fast this happened. The court also considers whether the authorities issue guarantees for the accused.

24 May 2005 - CG Delegation to Kosovo - By Andrea Saula

The Montenegro government, UNMIK and UNHCR signed a co-operation memorandum, for the voluntary return to Kosovo of displaced people. Some 18 500 internally displaced persons Kosovans are estimated to live in Montenegro.

The University of Pristina celebrated ‘9 May-Europe Day’ by bringing together students from all over South-Eastern Europe. They took part in several workshops on economic topics organized by the Academic Training Association with the support of the Dutch Presidency.

19 May 2005-EU Charter for small enterprises- By Danielle Bremer

Small enterprises often face specific obstacles. The European Charter for Small Enterprises tries to reduce these problems. Linked to this Europe-wide charter a special one for the Western Balkans and Moldova hopes to make progress on a regional level. Recently the national coordinators of this charter met in Pristina to discuss possible solutions and compare strategies.

 Today Novobrdo has only about 5.000 inhabitants, and one can hardly call it a town as there is very little economic activity: Novobrdo does not even have a barber shop these days.

Most Kosovo residents agree, when asked by journalists, that it is a normal duty to pay for public services. But the reality is completely different as many people don’t pay their water or electricity bills and authorities have serious headaches trying to solve this problem.

09 May 2005 - Foreign License Plates - By Birol Urcan

Hilmi Selimi is a Kosovo Albanian, he is owner of auto sales room “Shotani” in Prishtina. A few weeks ago he had an unexpected and surprising visit: from the officers of UNMIK Customs Service who confiscated his eight cars, older less then 8 years. All the vehicles’ documents were legally valid, but the problem was that their number plates were foreign. Ironically it could be noted that this was very practical indication that a new government policy has been introduced.

Brezovica mountain is well known as a winter ski center, but many people prefer visiting this beautiful area during spring and summer time. UNMIK ON AIR visited a artist Zoran Popovic Zanko, lives on the mountain and for more then decade has been creating artwork in wood and sculpture.
