The wars in The Balkans over the
past decade have not only created huge divisions between
its different communities, but also between artists
and some cultures have managed to isolate themselves
completly from others.
b92 emerged during the rough 90's
in Serbia , it was more then a radio station; it was
a fresh breeze of optimism, a socio-cultural energizing
movement.
UNMIK has recently begun a process
of reforming school curricula's in Kosovo, bearing
in mind the local community's myths and emotions could
harm the fragile democracy, which is just beginning
to be established.
Do Serbia & Montenegro and Kosovo
understand each other, do Kosovo Albanians and Serbs
understand what is the main discord between them.
We went to Belgrade and talked to three prominent
editors there and the common answer was - Kosovo Albanians
and Serbs do not understand each other.
