12 October 2004-KEK-By Valon A.Syla

According to European Agency for Reconstruction, lignite coal is one of Kosovo's major assets. Although environmentalists admit lignite produces the greatest CO2 emissions of any fuel, turning it into energy is of vital interest for the Kosova economy. 07 October 2004-Living In Strpce Municipality-By Zoran Culafic

Strpce municipality in the southern part of Kosovo is a town of some 15 thousand inhabitants, but unlike other municipalities in Kosovo's southern territory, Strpce's population is made up of a Serb majority. Strpce's interethnic relations are touted as being better than in other parts of Kosovo, and unofficial sources suggest it's remote location is the perfect proving ground for any future decentralization processes. UN Radio in Kosovo visited Strpce to find out what life is like there.

05 October 2004-Hasting privatization is needed-By Valon A.Syla

International and Kosovan economic analysts met in late September to ask the Kosovo Trust Agency, or KTA, and the international community to speed up the privatization process. The KTA asserts, that prior to the third round of privatization proceedings the process was slowed to create legal safeguards on the contracts to prevent corruption and mismanagement. Others at the roundtable discussion assert that increased privatization naturally roots out any corruption. UN Radio in Kosovo has this report.
